Show your support during National Mentoring Month

On January 28-30, 2015 the fifth annual National Mentoring Summit, which is the signature event for the national mentoring movement, will bring together approximately 800 in-person and 200 live stream event attendees, including practitioners, researchers, corporate partners, government and civic leaders, national youth-serving organizations and affiliates from MENTOR’s Mentoring Partnership Network in a forum to explore and advance mentoring’s positive impact on individuals and communities.

One way to show your support to your local mentoring organization is to take part in their non profit fundraisers. Participating in non profit fundraising is a great way to make an impact in the lives of the young people in your neighborhood. If you’re hard-pressed to find a local mentoring chapter, there are plenty of non profit online fundraising options available like eBay Giving Works.

Support Nonprofit Fundraisers to Help Shelters Care for Abused Dogs

If you want to aid abused, neglected, or homeless dogs too, one of the best things you can do is help your local animal shelter. Support nonprofit fundraisers that provide much-needed money to these organizations, which they use to house, feed, and cure the animals they harbor. You can also start a dog-walking service or sell hand-made crafts, then donate the proceeds to your animal shelter.

EBay also has an online nonprofit fundraiser program called Giving Works. Through it, you can sell pre-owned belongings and donate 10-100% of your sales to the Humane Society of the United States, a nonprofit that campaigns for animal rights and conducts animal rescue.
