At eBay Giving Works, we take a lot of pride in all the good things that our charity auction platform has allowed different nonprofits to accomplish. For several seasons now, Survivor has been one of those groups, using our platform to hold auctions, of memorabilia and props from their original production, to benefit a wide variety of charities.
Reception of the reality TV show’s charity efforts has always been fantastic, with fans of the series showing great enthusiasm both for the causes being supported and the items being offered. This has encouraged the organizer of these fundraisers, Auction Cause, to continue using our platform for Survivor auctions.
It is in continuing with this tradition that eBay Giving Works is proud to announce that the auction for Survivor: Cagayan will also be held through our website. As with previous auctions sponsored by Survivor, the actual items that were used in the reality TV competition, either by the contestants themselves or as props, will be auctioned to eBay users around the globe. This continues to be one of the most unique charity auction ideas on our platform and we expect the bidder turnout to be great once again.
At the moment, Auction Cause has yet to reveal the charity that will benefit from the event, but the organization has been clear in stating that, as with past Survivor auctions, 100% of the net proceeds will go to the chosen charity. The last Survivor auction benefited the International Medical Corps, which used the funds to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
Anyone who would like to participate in the auctions and bring home an item from the TV show to share with their family and friends is encouraged to visit SurvivorAuctions.com when the auction opens in April.
